Pastor E.A. Adeboye Declares 50 Days of Prayer and Fasting

Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the revered spiritual leader and the general overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God has announced a transformative period of 50 days of prayer and fasting, set to commence on January 11, 2024.

This was announced during his impactful message titled “FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOP Part 1,” delivered at the RCCG January 2024 Holy Ghost Service on January 5, 2024.

In his sermon, Pastor Adeboye emphasized the correlation between being on the mountain top and engaging in fasting, highlighting the spiritual significance of elevated moments. Drawing inspiration from Exodus 3:1-5, he commenced a series entitled “FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOP,” promising subsequent parts in the coming months.

The narrative unfolded with the story of Moses, who, after 40 years of being a fugitive, experienced divine repositioning as Pharaoh passed away. The message resonates with the reassurance that the one making life unbearable for individuals will soon be gone.

Pastor Adeboye then drew parallels with the biblical account of David, who spent 13 years as a fugitive before King Saul’s death signaled the end of his running. The central theme echoed Psalm 102:13, emphasizing the importance of God’s appointed time for favor.

In a powerful declaration, Pastor Adeboye assured the congregation that the time for God to remember them had come. This assurance extended to a promise that enemies would be divinely dealt with when God repositions His people.

Referencing Elijah’s transformation after divine repositioning on Mount Horeb, the preacher prophesied a shift from being hunted to becoming the hunter. The emphasis on the Almighty God’s protection, as stated in Isaiah 54:15-17, added an extra layer of reassurance for the believers.

The sermon took a bold stance against unwarranted criticism, echoing the biblical promise that no weapon formed against believers would prosper. Pastor Adeboye urged the congregation to declare “enough is enough” and decreed that anyone criticizing without cause would face divine intervention.

A powerful testimony shared during the sermon highlighted the tangible impact of faith and declarations, as a tormentor was removed from a family after a specific prophetic word.

As the congregation anticipates the upcoming 50 days of prayer and fasting, Pastor Adeboye expressed gratitude for the widespread adoption of their fasting practices, emphasizing the global recognition of the spiritual wisdom behind their fasting routines.

The announcement of 50 days of prayer and fasting serves as a call to spiritual dedication and preparation for divine visitation. Pastor Adeboye’s teachings continue to inspire and guide the faithful, fostering a community deeply committed to prayer, fasting, and transformative encounters with God.

Meanwhile, the 50 days of prayers and fasting is what the RCCG members start the year with every new year.

When is the RCCG 2024 fasting and prayer starting?

As announced by Pastor Adeboye, the fasting will start on January 11 and run still March 2024.
