The Two Things You Should Do If You Want To Get Married This Year according to Rev Dr Sam Oye
Rev Dr Sam Oye is the founder and senior pastor of The Transforming Church, one of the fastest growing churches in Nigeria. Speaking during the Global Single Meeting in May 2024 , DR Sam Oye revealed the two things anyone who desire to get married this year must do. They are :
- INCREASE YOUR ATTRACTION POWER
- INCREASE YOUR RETENTION POWER
According to Dr Sam Oye, for you to be married, you have got to attract the right person and also retain the person before it can lead to marriage.
They are people who have been in many relationships but non has led to marriage because they lack what it takes to retain them and by extension maintain the relationship- this is why RETENTION POWER is very important.
Also, they are people who have attracted only the wrong people and so they don’t have good options to choose from. To get married this year, you have got to attract the right people and sustain the relationship while nurturing it into marriage.
The question in your mind now is probably, “how do I increase my ATTRACTION AND RETENTION POWER?
- Be Likeable
People are only attracted to what they like, if they don’t like you, they will not want to be friends with you not to talk of relationship. To be liked, like other people and show that you care. If you want someone to like you, like them. If you want someone to care about you, care about them and show it.
- Be Accessible and available
Many people are single because they are not welcoming, they are not accessible, and they have created an artificial barricade making it hard to people to approach them or initiate a conversation with them . However, you can start working on it today. Read on!
On RETENTION, Rev Sam said that prayer is good, anointing is good, but its not enough. You have to do more than prayer to attract and retain the right partner.
Dr Sam Oye further said that it’s not enough to wish to be married or say ‘‘I will marry this year’, you have got to back up your words with faith. He defines Faith as the substance-the foundation upon which you stand on the promises of God and speak based on it.
And it starts with studying the word of God. When a lady studies the word and sees where the bible says “you shall be the desire of nations” and she jumps up saying the hour has come, I shall be desired – that point, she moves from no suitor to multiple suitors that her prayer point chances from “God give me a husband” to thanksgiving and asking the holy spirit to help her make the right choice.

Be accessible and available.
