The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) has appointed Archbishop Emmah Gospel Isong, the General Overseer of Christian Central Chapel International (CCCI), Calabar, Cross River State, as its National Vice President for the South-South zone.
This appointment was confirmed in a letter dated March 27, 2025, signed by the mPFN National President, Bishop Francis Wale Oke. In the letter, Bishop Oke expressed his pleasure in appointing Archbishop Isong to oversee the PFN leadership across the six states in the South-South region.
Responsibilities of Bishop Emmah Isong
As the South-South National Vice President, Archbishop Isong will be responsible for leading and coordinating PFN executives in *Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River States. His duties include:
– Overseeing, mobilizing, executing, and implementing the 8th National Executive Council’s Cardinal Agenda in the zone.
– Strengthening membership growth by attracting and engaging more Pentecostals in the region.
– Supervising the appointment and election processes for State Executive Councils and State Advisory Councils.
Archbishop Emmah Isong’s Response
In his reaction, Archbishop Isong expressed gratitude to Bishop Oke, the National Advisory Council, and the National Executive Council for entrusting him with this responsibility. He pledged to serve with diligence and commitment.
Before this appointment, Archbishop Isong served as the National Publicity Secretary and spokesperson of the PFN.
