In his speech, he recounted how WOFBEC and how the name has changed from WAFBEC to WOFBEC and the growth so far . Brothers and sisters, welcome to WOFBEC 2024!
As we stand here, at the dawn of a new year, a powerful current of God’s presence electrifies the air. We gather not just under this roof, but across continents, united by a single flame of faith – the faith that moves mountains.
I want to take you on a journey, a walk down memory lane to witness the roots of this very flame. For Nigeria, a land blessed with potent ministry, is not a happenstance. It is the fruit of seeds sown with purpose, seeds we must revisit before reaping a bountiful harvest.
Recall the early 70s, when a whisper of the Spirit swept across the land. Young hearts ignited with a new belief: the life-altering power of being born again. The SU movement, a beacon of godliness and character, took root. Hope bloomed, a vision that this newfound birth would become the nation’s moral compass.
Fast forward to the late 70s and early 80s, where another wave crashed on our shores. From Tulsa, Oklahoma, the teachings of Kenneth Hagin found fertile ground in university campuses across the nation. Books like “The Faith That Moves Mountains” and “The Word of Faith” became gospel, empowering individuals to tap into their God-given authority and hear His voice directly. The charismatic Pentecostal movement was born!
These pioneers, schooled in the practice of these truths, birthed the global phenomenon of mega-churches. Their foundations were laid not in bricks and mortar, but in long hours of prayer, meditating on the Word, and cultivating a deep communion with the Holy Spirit.
But here’s the exciting news, brothers and sisters. The planting season is back! We, in Nigeria, stand at the precipice of another harvest, an even richer yield of faith waiting to be sown.
That’s what WOFBEC 2024 is all about. It’s a return to the fundamentals, a recapturing of the core truths that ignited this movement and the promises they hold. In these halls, over these next few days, we will till the soil of our hearts, sow the seeds of unwavering faith, and equip ourselves to reap a harvest like no other.
It’s not just a conference; it’s a revolution. A movement where faith isn’t just a word, but a weapon, a shield, a compass leading us to destinies beyond our wildest dreams.
So, raise your voices, lift your hands, and let this be a declaration! We are here, we are ready, and we will move mountains with our faith!
