Dr. Tunde Bakare is a prominent Nigerian pastor and politician. Born on November 11, 1954, he was raised as a Muslim but later converted to Christianity. After studying law at the University of Lagos, he practised law for a few years before dedicating his life to ministry.

Pastor Tunde Bakare founded the Latter Rain Assembly, a charismatic church known for its emphasis on social justice and good governance. He has been a vocal critic of corruption and has advocated for transparency and accountability in Nigerian politics.

In the 2011 presidential election, he ran as the vice presidential candidate alongside Muhammadu Buhari. While their ticket was unsuccessful, Bakare remains a significant figure in Nigerian politics and religious circles.
