The Commonwealth of Zion Assembly (COZA), Port Harcourt, has officially taken ownership of the Atrium Event Centre, a facility that previously served as its rented worship venue. What began as an unexpected challenge has now evolved into a major strategic milestone for the church.

From Disruption to Direction

In October 2025, Rev. Biodun Fatoyinbo visited COZA Port Harcourt for an apostolic ministration. During the service, power supply to the venue was suddenly cut shortly after he began ministering. Engineers on ground made efforts to restore electricity, but the outage lasted far longer than expected.

Despite the disruption, Rev. Fatoyinbo continued the service undeterred. The gathering remained impactful, with several members later sharing testimonies of healings, restorations, and life-changing encounters.

For a ministry widely known for excellence, structure, and attention to detail, the incident was unusual. However, as the venue was a rented facility, power supply and infrastructure management were outside the church’s direct control.

An Eviction Notice and a Bold Decision

According to information gathered, Rev. Fatoyinbo received a clear instruction at that moment to “buy the property.” Unknown to him at the time, the owners of the Atrium Event Centre were already preparing to issue COZA a quit notice.

Shortly afterward, the church was formally served an eviction notice, requesting that it vacate the premises by December 2025. Rather than relocate or seek an alternative venue, Rev. Biodun Fatoyinbo took a decisive and strategic step—he purchased the entire property.

The facility consists of four event halls, a restaurant, and several supporting structures, making it a significant asset with both spiritual and commercial value.

A Multi-Billion-Naira Investment in Excellence

The acquisition, reportedly valued at several billions of naira, turned what could have been a setback into a breakthrough. Beyond the purchase, COZA committed an additional ₦1 billion to extensive renovations, upgrading the facility to meet COZA’s standards of excellence, functionality, and aesthetics.

Upon completion, the fully renovated property is projected to be valued at over ₦5 billion, positioning it as one of the most notable religious and event facilities in Port Harcourt.

Commissioning Set for March

Naira Diary gathered that renovation work is currently ongoing and expected to be completed within three months. Rev. Biodun Fatoyinbo is scheduled to visit Port Harcourt by the first week of March to officially commission the newly upgraded Atrium Event Centre.

Faith Meets Strategy

The development reflects COZA’s approach of combining faith, foresight, and strategic leadership, transforming uncertainty into opportunity and investing boldly in long-term growth.

Congratulations to COZA.
