Fortune and Annaliese Found Love in Church, Now on a Forever Journey
Nigerian media evangelist and personal brand coach, Fortune Wobidi, and Annaliese Nkechi Emenike are set to wed on October 12, 2024. Their love story is one of two church friends who have grown in love over the years.
Announcing their engagement and upcoming wedding on September 30, 2024, via Instagram and Facebook, Fortune shared their wedding photos and wrote:

In celebration of Nigeria’s Independence Day (October 1st), Fortune also posted a behind-the-scenes look from their pre-wedding photoshoot, where he highlighted both Nigeria’s independence and the joy of loving Annaliese. He captioned it:
“Celebrating Nigeria’s independence & freedom to love the lady who added beautiful colors to my life for a lifetime.
Happy Independence to us 🤍”
However, a Facebook post by Annaliese on May 21, 2022, gives us deeper insight into how long they’ve known each other. In that post, Annaliese shared photos from an event they organized to empower students, where Fortune was one of the facilitators. She expressed her gratitude to him and the other tutors for making the event a success:
“I can’t say thank you enough! We had a swell time yesterday. Everything went better than planned. The tutors—Emmanuel IB Douglas, Samson Maxwell, and Fortune Wobidi II—did an excellent job. They made the children crave more knowledge. I was so proud of what we accomplished, I couldn’t stop smiling!”
A deeper look through their social media history reveals posts and church photos dating as far back as 2019, further confirming that Fortune and Annaliese have known each other for quite some time.
The couple worship and serve at Gateway International Church, where Fortune manages the church’s social media accounts and oversees Pastor George Izunwa’s social media presence. He is also a worship leader, making him a key figure in the ministry. In addition to his church duties, Fortune is a Christian content creator with thousands of followers, and his messages have reached millions of people across social media.
