The Vice President of Kenya, H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH, wrote as they mourned the death of Bishop Allan Kiuna, who died of cancer and was buried in Thindigua, Kiambu County, Kenya, on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

The Vice President, who was also present at the funeral service of the late bishop, shared his condolence message to the late Bishop Allan’s family on his verified social media page.

“Bishop Allan Kiuna, the Founder and General Overseer of the Jubilee Christian Church, was a champion of truth, courage, a great mentor, and above all – a gallant soldier of Jesus Christ.

As Bishop Kiuna is laid to rest today in Thindigua, Kiambu County, his life remains a testament to resilience and an inspiration of the power in each one of us to transform the world with impact.

Today, with my spouse Pastor Dorcas Rigathi, I joined the family of Bishop Kiuna and thousands of mourners in celebrating his life.

His Excellency, President William Samoei Ruto, comforted Bishop Kiuna’s widow, Rev. Kathy Kiuna, her family, and the faithful of JCC in a message of condolence that I delivered on his behalf.

Leaders present at the burial service included Nominated Senator Veronica Maina and MPs Anne Wamuratha (Kiambu Woman Representative), Sabina Chege (Nominated), Peter Salasya (Mumias East), and Amos Mwago (Starehe).

Former MPs Cate Waruguru (Laikipia County) and Bishop Margaret Wanjiru (Starehe), together with 2022 Presidential Aspirant Waihiga Mwaure and the clergy led by Bishop Mark Kariuki and Reverend Teresiah Wairimu, were also present.

May the soul of Bishop Allan Kiuna rest in eternal peace and perpetual light shine upon him,” he wrote.
